Java Central has long believed that community is both local and global. This is why we seek to get as much of our coffee through direct trade relationships as possible, why we will always be a safe space for everyone who walks through our doors, and why we’re proud to elevate Directions for Youth and Families as our new Fundraiser Blend Non-Profit Partner.
All profits from this blend of Costa Rican and Guatemalan coffee will go to Directions for Youth and Families so they can continue to build and inspire hope, healing, and resilience for youth, families, and communities through counseling and education.
“Directions for Youth and Families (DFYF) is a mental and behavioral health organization providing clinical counseling, educational services, and after-school/summer programming for central Ohio youth and families. DFYF has over 50 licensed counselors and social workers providing outreach services in homes, schools, and other community settings. DFYF operates the Ohio Avenue Youth Center and the Crittenton Community Center, both located in high-risk neighborhoods and offering resources, new opportunities, and healthy alternatives to delinquent activities prevalent in those communities.”
