DON WILKINS has a unique interpretation of nature and culture featuring glass, metal and paint. Most pieces are reverse glass painting on two layers of glass to create a natural and interesting depth. It's modern, experimental and different. Don was the Emerging Artist of 2023 of the Arts Council of Westerville and is currently the President for the Community Artists of Westerville (CAW). Don is also known for his poignant Ukrainian Sunflower series of paintings whose sale proceeds are donated to Ukrainian relief charities. His current piece, Path to Peace, is featured and on sale at Java Central.

KEN is an excellent singer/songwriter from Coshocton who has become a favorite at JC, performing here last Feb and May, plus numerous open mics. Ken plays all over Ohio and has wowed us with his vocals, musicianship and his surprisingly eclectic repertoire - ranging from "Summertime" (Gershwin) to "Rainbow Connection" (Kermit the Frog) to John Prine to Pink Floyd! OPENING will be The OH'HAMSTEADS - Folk/Irish/rock/country - with Braun and Julie, brother Carl and son Matt.

John is an excellent fingerstyle guitarist, songwriter and singer, recording artist – and a wonderful entertainer! He performs throughout Columbus, and also leads our great Tuesday night jams at JC. His music has been played on NPR and on numerous TV shows. In addition, John has been a teacher and Artist-in-Residence at Riverside Hospital for twenty years. He has written a wonderful book about his experiences there, Notes in the Key of C. * A BAND WITH NO NAME (Pop, rock, blues, bluegrass, gospel and original music) - features John, DAVE HEINMILLER (top dog of Heindog and Stadz), and DON and DEBBIE (Flower) SMITH who have been with numerous bands, including the Fishouse Fellowship Band.

Shohei is a virtuoso guitarist and an excellent singer/entertainer. He was born in Japan, raised in Dublin, OH, educated in Boston (performance major at Berklee College of Music) - and started out at Java Central! An all-time JC favorite. First Prize and Best Arrangement Award - Japan's National Finger-Picking Guitar Contest Grand Champion of the "Home of the Legends" International Thumb-Picking Contest in Mulenburg, KY Back on US tour, we are proud he's back for another great show!

Best described as "genre-bending" and "refreshingly original", the richly-textured layers of their music incorporate world influence with a soul-blues base picked up on their travels throughout India, Nepal, Hawaii and the American South. Their latest CD, "Dragonfly" climbed high on the Blues charts.
