Work by JON COOPER of Toronto, Ohio – talented painter and father of JC partner Megan Piper – is also on view in the Main Hallway. Jon’s subjects range from overgrown machinery and bright floral close-ups to playful scenes of cartoon-like characters happily spending time together. A common theme in his work, aside from his bright, sun-kissed color palette, seems to be an overwhelming appreciation for the beauty and variety of life.
Jon also handcrafts all of his frames and stretches his work himself. He was a middle school Art Teacher for 35 years at Liverpool Schools, and when asked by his daughter about his more recent cartoonish subjects, he responded “Working. With. Kids.”
We are thrilled to be able to host the first-ever exhibition of Jon’s work. See for yourself next time you’re in, and let us know what you think!
